STEREO

It may surprise many to hear that this 100% vegan bar and restaurant is extremely popular - often with a fully booked restaurant and live music at weekends. But despite being tucked away in a wee side alley, in the centre of the city, Stereo is worth seeking out.

Hosting a cool, informal bar setting and great comfort food with a healthy edge, it’s easy to see why they’re popular with vegans and non-vegans. They offer decent sized mains, as well as smaller tapas-style dishes that you can opt to share (if sharing food is your thing, ngl it ain't mine really).

The ‘indecisive duo’ both ordered pizzas. Surprise surprise. I got the pepperoni one, and Lauren, a basic margarita with chips. As a well-known place for their cauliflower buffalo wings, it seemed silly not too try, so I ordered a plate of them also.

As the first time I've tried cauliflower buffalo wings I have to say they were pretty good. Could have done with them being spicier though tbh, but tasty, nonetheless. The pizzas however were a perfect size. Despite her doubts, and copious amount of waffles that morning, even Lauren managed to finish her margherita.

The place has a great atmosphere. And if you’re a bit of a plant mum like me you’ll appreciate the décor. My only issue was that it was very busy (understandably for a Saturday night), therefore, rather loud.  It was a lowkey struggle trying to speak to Lauren from across the table. What kinda made up for that was how nice our waiter was. Shout out to him, and sorry for being those bad people that don’t carry enough change for a decent tip.

Highly recommend, and shall be back again soon to try more✌🏻.

Till next week folks!
